Where your retreat begins.
Most retreats start with a night or two at Victoria Falls before the road transfer to Munga Plains. Mosi-oa-Tunya, ‘The Smoke That Thunders,’ is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and the nearest international gateway.

The Falls
The largest waterfall in the world.
Stretching across the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls is recognized as the world’s largest waterfall by combined width and height. The rising spray creates its own rainforest ecosystem of mist, rainbows, and the constant distant thunder of falling water.
For centuries, the falls have held deep spiritual and cultural significance for local communities, with stories and legends passed down through generations, each guide carrying their own version of its origins.

From there to here
Three hours, then you’re home.
After Victoria Falls, the road transfer to Munga Plains takes about three hours, including the Zimbabwe/Botswana border crossing at Kasane. We arrange and accompany the transfer so your group can settle into the experience without thinking about logistics.
Along the way, a boat cruise on the Chobe River breaks up the journey, with lunch served on board before arriving at the camp in the late afternoon: in time for a welcome, dinner, and perhaps a gentle evening practice.
