For Retreat Leaders
Bring your students. We handle the rest.
Organising a trip in Africa can be overwhelming. From airport arrival to final transfer, we take on the logistics: transfers, meals, the shala, safari, staff, border crossings. You come with your students and your practice. The rest is ours.

Why host here
Privatised for one group at a time.
Ten rooms on wooden decking — six standard, four large double — plus two reserved for visiting tour leaders. A shala for up to 20 facing the plains. A boma, a pool, a main area, and a full staff team. The whole camp is privatised for your group, every week we run from March to December.
Every structure was built by local artisans in wood, canvas, and thatching grass. The shala came first; the rest of the camp was arranged around it.
A Typical Schedule
Eight days, from airport to airport.
The shape most retreats follow. Days 3 to 7 are at the camp. The rest is the arrival in Victoria Falls, the road transfer, and the return.
- Day 1
Arrive · Victoria Falls
Your group lands at Victoria Falls Airport. We meet them, transfer to a partner lodge, run a guided walk along the falls, and host a welcome dinner.
- Day 2
Transfer to Munga
On two-night stays in Victoria Falls, the morning opens with a yoga session on the Zambezi by boat. Road transfer via Kasane, about 3 hours, with a boat cruise on the Chobe along the way. Arrival at camp for dinner.
- Days 3–7
At the camp
Sunrise and sunset practice every day. Between those sessions, we plan the rest of the week. An early-morning game drive one day, an afternoon mokoro the next. A sundowner cruise on the Chobe. A walking safari before breakfast. A cultural day in Kachikau. Every activity scheduled around your teaching, so the practice stays at the centre of the week.
- Day 8
Depart · or extend
Final morning practice, breakfast, road transfer back to Victoria Falls Airport. Or you continue into Savuti, the Okavango Delta, or Namibia on a mobile safari extension.
Extensions
Victoria Falls before, mobile safari after.
Most retreats open with a night or two at Victoria Falls and close with a mobile safari extension. Both are optional, both are common.

From the teachers who’ve taught here.
“I have just returned from hosting a retreat at Munga Plains and am still glowing from the absolute all round divine experience. The staff [were] the most accommodating I think I have ever had the privilege of dealing with.”

“I was a participant in a yoga and meditation retreat that was held at Munga Plains. What an incredible experience! As we drove in, the staff did a joyful dance to welcome us, which brought tears to my eyes. From that moment on it was like being in another world.”
